After Banks’ engineers carefully studied the stock intercoolers for the 2004.5-2005 GMC/Chevy Duramax LLY, they decided to upgrade everything for superior results. The Techni-Cooler’s core area is 25% bigger giving it 34% more flow volume — increasing air density for more continuous power. While the stock intercooler has one plastic end tank, the Techni-Cooler steps-up with two durable, all-aluminum end tanks, that will never melt or burst under high-boost conditions.
