AEM Cold Air Intakes
AEM Cold Air Intake
The AEM Cold Air Intake product line for the 1999-2005 Volkswagon Jetta or Golf 1.9L engine is designed to help increase the speed and power of your VW 1.9L engine.
Why are the products labeled for both vehicles?
The 1999-2005 VW Jetta and the 1999-2005 VW Golf models both used the same 1.9L TDI engine. Most engine performance parts that work for one vehicle should also work for the other.
What does the AEM Cold Air Intake do?
Each of the four styles of AEM Cold Air Intake is essentially the same product as the others and is designed to increase the total horsepower output of the engine. The filter uses a washable, reusable filter media, which, depending on driving conditions, shouldn't need to be cleaned for the first 100,000 miles. These air intakes have been thoroughly tested using a dynamometer, and have been tuned to give the best possible gains to the 1..9L TDI engine.
Is there a difference?
Yes. The main difference between the four styles of the AEM 21-493, is that each one is a different color. AEM chose bold, eye-catching colors for their air intakes because they know that their products will make your engine's performance shine like never before. They are proud of their product and want it to have a chance to stand out and be noticed. However, they leave that choice up to you by giving you the option to pick which color of pipe you want in your engine.
Choose from Gunmetal Gray, Deep Blue, Dark-Red, or Polished-White.
