Product Description

After Banks’ engineers carefully studied the stock intercoolers for the 2006-2007 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins, they decided to upgrade everything for superior results. The Techni-Cooler’s core area is 20% thicker giving it a 27% increase in volume — increasing air density for more continuous power. The Techni-Cooler includes and a colossal super-flow Monster-Ram intake manifold, mandrel-bent 3.5" high-flow boost tubes as well as large, high-efficiency all-aluminum end tanks — that will never melt or burst under high-boost conditions.

Key Features

  • Extensively tested & validated
  • Large, streamlined end tanks optimize airflow and air density
  • 20% thicker core area for 27% more volume
  • Improves cooling for higher continuous power & lower EGT
  • 3.5" High-flow boost tubes
  • Denser air charge improves the combustion process for greater engine efficiency & better fuel economy
  • Includes a Monster-Ram intake manifold

Banks’ Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) designed, rugged cast aluminum end tanks on the Techni-Cooler insure durability and slick air flow. The same can’t be said for welded-up sheet tanks. Air doesn’t flow well with square corners, and the welds break at high boost when performance is needed the most.

Banks’ Techni-Cooler improves airflow into and out of the intercooler with big mandrel-bent 3.5" boost tubes. The Techni-Cooler system also dramatically increases the cooling capacity — balancing the richer fuel mixture with greater airflow and cooler, denser air. Since denser air has more oxygen, this improves combustion and engine efficiency.
