Core Charge Policy
What is a Core Charge?
“CORE” is actually an acronym for “Cash On REturn.” Cores are re-buildable parts that can usually be redeemed for a portion of their original purchase price. On some items we sell, we collect a fully refundable core charge upfront at the time of purchase. This generally includes items such as injection pumps, injectors, stock replacement turbo’s, etc.
Core Condition
An acceptable core is one that is not broken or so severely damaged that it can no longer be repaired and rebuilt to proper working condition. Cores that are damaged by water, fire, or other physical abuse are not eligible for a core refund.
How Much is My Core Charge?
The amount of core charges varies widely depending on the value aftermarket diesel parts manufacturers assign to original equipment. If a core charge is required, you will see the core charge listed on the product page and you will be charged the core fee upon checkout in your shopping cart.
How Do I Get a Core Refund?
To receive full core credit, the core you return must be the same model and part number as what was purchased. There is generally not a problem with core refunds — but if you are unsure if your core will meet the manufacturer’s core standards please contact us before placing your order.
Cores should be shipped back to the manufacturer within 30 days of purchase in the original container in which the part you ordered was received. The shipping cost for the return of the core is the customer’s responsibility. You will not be reimbursed for core shipping expenses you incur. Please include the original packing slip or shipping label as it identifies your Core Return Number.
When Do I Receive My Core Refund?
The core charge is refundable within 7-10 business days after the product manufacturer receives your old rebuild-able core back. Once the manufacturer inspects the returned core part, they will issue a refund to us. You will receive an email confirmation when we refund your credit card or Paypal account. Please allow up to 7 more business days for your bank to process the credit to your card.
