Increasing horsepower and torque on your Diesel Truck is as simple as
pushing a button with Hypertech's Power Programmer III! Simply plug the
Hypertech Power Programmer III into the underdash diagnostic plug of your
pickup, answer a series of "Yes/No" questions, and the Power Programmer does
the rest. The Hypertech Power Programmer III is much more than a tuning
chip. It is a self-contained automotive tuning computer! When you connect the
Hypertech Power Programmer III to your truck, its "smart" program instantly
recognizes your vehicle's powertrain by reading the Vehicle Identification
Number (VIN). The VIN contains specific information on the engine,
transmission, and drivetrain, which the Hypertech Power Programmer III decodes
before it downloads the Power Tuning program that is precisely tailored to
your Vehicle. The Programmer automatically installs the program and allows you
to access and reprogram the vehicle's computer to function properly with
aftermarket components such as non-stock tire sizes and rear-end gear ratios.
The Hypertech Power Programmer III is incredibly powerful, but it is
also incredibly easy to use with your vehicle. Reprogramming this Hypertech
upgrade does not require any tools or knowledge of cars or even
computers. Plus, you can return to OEM (stock) programming in just minutes.
This Hypertech Power Programmer 1. Tunes the engine for maximum
power and performance, plus potential gas mileage improvements. 2. Special Three-Stage
Tuning. 3. Extends the engine's RPM range for a wider power band. 4. Permits use
of low-temperature thermostat for cooler, denser intake charge and lower engine
operating temperature. 5. The Hypertech Power Programmer optimizes shift points
by speed and RPM for maximum acceleration. 6. Firmer full-throttle gear changes for faster
acceleration. 7. Allows the vehicle's top speed to be matched to the speed
rating of factory-approved high-performance tires. 8. Automatically corrects
speedometer and odometer readings for non-stock tire sizes and/or non-stock
rear-end gear ratios. (accurate odometer readings are required by law) 9.
Adjust turbo boost pressure levels. POWER INCREASES: - Stage 1 = +37 HP and +64
ft/lb Torque - STAGE 2 = +80 HP and +131 ft/lb Torque - STAGE 3 = +115 HP and
+200 ft/lb Torque. *May vary by diesel application.

"When I purchased my 2005 F250 turbodiesel, it was the first diesel vehicle I had ever owned. I had always heard about the tremendous torque and horsepower increases that could be attained by adding a chip, but had also heard horror stories of what could possibly happen.
