A simple description of the operation of a turbo is to compare it to an air pump. The ultimate design is for the turbo to reach its peak boost pressure quickly and not create a lot of exhaust backpressure to drive the turbine wheel. There are a number of less restrictive and quicker responding exhaust housings, but the best results are from BD's new engineered turbo with a much broader rpm/boost range. This new S300 Air Werks turbo designed by BD for the 12 and 24 Valve Cummins 5.9L engine with 75-200hp plug in devices or a total of 300-425hp. It is been engineered to provide outstanding low engine rpm turbo spool up resulting in 75-150 lbs ft. of torque increase and reduced smoke emissions with 100-250 F drop in exhaust temperature at peak load levels. It has lower and cooler turbo boost and has anti compressor surge designs. This turbo out-performs all others in this power range and is covered by a 1 year warranty. Each turbo kit is tuned for the engine and includes all exhaust, intake and oil adapters. A twin compounded turbo kit for 150-300 hp modifications is also available. BD's Super B turbochargers reduce smoke emissions, cool exhaust temperatures and deliver more air at lower boost pressures on modified engines like no other turbo kit on the market.
