The PowerCore® works by directing air into the front of the filter, where it is channeled into its fluted design. The channels are alternately sealed, allowing air to enter through an open flute and forcing it to exit out an adjacent flute. This allows the air to be filtered in one pass through the Ultra-Web® NanoFiber® media with less restriction, allowing clean air to enter your engine for increased airflow and higher filtration efficiency. This technology allows the PowerCore® air filter to include a 4 year or 100,000 miles warranty when used in urban conditions.

Volant’s Air Filter Box is a cross-ink polyethylene box engineered to each specific application for low restriction and an increase in air volume. It insulates and protects the filter from engine heat, moisture, dust and debris to provide colder air to the engine for an increase in horsepower.

Volant Air Duct’s are engineered for top results. Factory air inlet ducts use sound baffles and awkward bends which restrict flow. Volant’s cross-link polyethylene air ducts are sculptured to give the engine less restrictive breathing. Incorporating larger diameters and unique bends, Volant’s ducts can’t be duplicated with metal ducts, allowing for maximum airflow velocity and throttle response.

Not all intake systems are the same and savvy customers know which ones make more power than others. This is why Volant Cool Air Intakes are extremely popular with customers who know intake systems. What’s the difference? Volant Cool Air Intakes take a different approach to making power. Volant seals conical, high-flow air filter in a box that has more air volume than factory units. This process also eliminates any chance of hot air from contaminating the intake charge to the engine.

Other intakes use shields to block hot air but not all of it is eliminated. With the hood closed and the engine at normal operating temperatures, open element systems do not ingest hot-engine heat. In fact, recent tests have shown that some electric fans actually blow hot air into the intake on those systems using a heat shield. Any time air intake temperatures begin to read 100 degrees and higher, the engine’s ECM begins to take away ignition timing and power is dramatically reduced.
