2007.5 – 2009 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins

With over 40 years of combined experience in the electronics and software world, the guys at MADS Electronics set the standard for tuning the Cummins 5.9L and 6.7L diesel engine.
Based out of Italy, they have used their considerable experience in tuning vehicles with computer controlled fuel-injection systems for the racing environment to come up with high-end tuning solutions for your Dodge Ram truck equipped with the legendary Cummins engine. All of
the engineering, research & development and performance software design is done in house at MADS Electronics; Nothing is outsourced. Each unit is tested thoroughly before it leaves their doors, so you know that your unit will work right the first time.
The heart of MADS Smarty tuners is the CaTCHER software. MADS original products were EPROMs and Flash-EPROMs (or “chips”) which could be installed in place of the original OEM EPROMs and Flash-EPROMs located in the vehicle’s on-board control module. These chips, just like the tuners of today, keep the entire vehicle safety and emissions systems intact, but modify the fuel injection settings to deliver dramatic power, torque and driveability improvements.
With the advent of the OBD-II vehicle control module in the early 1990’s, most domestic vehicle manufacturers installed under-dash ports (“ALDL ports”) which allowed dealers and service techs to “re-flash” the vehicle’s control module to change engine settings without replacing any chip. So today, instead of chips, MADS engineers hand-held tuners which achieve the same dramatic drivetrain improvements, without the hassle of popping the hood, pulling out the vehicle control module and replacing a chip. Installation is quick and easy, taking about 1.5 up to 4.5 minutes, depending on the truck model, and requiring no tools or mechanical skills whatsoever.
