The original PhatShaft is the perfect replacement turbo for towing. The PhatShaft can be purchased with a 12cm or 14cm turbine housing matched with a 65mm turbine. For the 5.9L 24V Cummins we suggest a 14 cm turbine housing. The benefit of the 14cm exhaust housing is lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures but it will be slower to spool in daily driving situations.
The original PhatShaft is available in 3 different compressor sizes, 62mm, 64mm, and 66mm. All three compressors have extended tip technology. The wastegate is set at 40psi to prevent head gasket failure on the PhatShaft 62 and 45psi on the PhatShaft 64 and 66. All PhatShaft turbochargers are equipped with dual-grooved bearings and an adjustable boost elbow. The original PhatShaft compliments moderate fueling upgrades and can support 300 – 550hp.
Again, the PhatShaft series compliments mild to moderate fueling upgrades for your 24V Cummins and can support 300 – 550hp. The 62 is a drop in replacement; however, an HX40 downpipe (Pictured above) with clamp is required for installation on all PhatShaft Turbos in 2nd Gen Dodges.

PhatShaft 62
- The PhatShaft 62 is the perfect replacement turbo for towing. The PhatShaft 62 can be purchased with a 12 or 14 turbine housing matched with a 65mm turbine. We suggest a 12 cm turbine housing if the truck has moderate fueling upgrades such as 300hp injectors and a cam plate. If the truck has heavier fueling upgrades such as 370hp injectors, aggressive cam plate and governor springs then you will be better suited with 14cm housing. The benefit of the 14cm exhaust housing is lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures but it will be slower to spool in daily driving situations. The wastegate is set at 40psi to prevent head gasket failure. The PhatShaft 62 compliments moderate fueling upgrades and can support 300 – 550hp. The 62 is a drop in replacement however, an HX40 downpipe with clamp is required for installation.
PhatShaft 64
- The PhatShaft 64 is mid range replacement turbo for towing. The PhatShaft can be purchased with a 12 or 14 turbine housing matched with a 65mm turbine however we suggest sticking with the 14cm exhaust housing. The benefit of the 14cm exhaust housing is lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures but it will be slower to spool in daily driving situations. The original PhatShaft 64 features 64 mm compressor with extended tip technology. The wastegate is set at 45psi. All PhatShaft turbochargers are equipped with dual grooved bearings and an adjustable boost elbow. The original PhatShaft compliments moderate fueling upgrades and can support 300 – 550hp.
PhatShaft 66
- PhatShaft 66 is a mid to high range replacement turbo intended for performance and light towing. The PhatShaft 66 comes standard with a 14cm exhaust housing and can be special ordered with a 12cm housing. This turbine features a 65mm turbine exducer. The wastegate is set at 45psi when it leaves Industrial Injection however boost levels can be adjusted with the adjustable boost elbow. All PhatShaft turbochargers are equipped with dual grooved bearings and an adjustable boost elbow. The original PhatShaft 66 compliments mid to high range fueling upgrades and can support 350 – 650hp.

Industrial Injection has supplied the diesel performance industry with the best high performance fuel injection components and turbochargers on the market for over 25 years. Owner/founder Brady Williams started Industrial Injection as a one man show, primarily as an agricultural and industrial fuel shop servicing construction, agricultural, mining equipment and over the road truck engines.
From the beginning their focus was on helping farmers, truckers and miners with horse power gains, fuel economy and reduced emissions. When Ford, Dodge and GM decided to power pickup trucks with diesel engines Industrial was quick to recognize the needs that would come and adapted their business model to service this new and growing diesel market segment. Today Industrial Injection utilizes their extensive experience in conjunction with advanced technology and a strong desire to lead diesel innovation to create diesel performance products for true diesel enthusiasts.
