The H&S XRT Pro Tuner is an actual mini-computer designed to plug right into the brain of your Dodge 6.7L Cummins. Once connected, it allows direct communication and override of many factory default settings from inside your cabin. Read and clear diagnostic trouble codes, recalibrate your speedometer or your ABS system for use with large, non-stock tires or gearing. The XRT Pro puts you in control of your truck with hardly a dent to your wallet, especially when compared to other tuners on the market — and updating it is easy. The H&S XRT Tuner comes with many special features for Dodge Cummins owners. From simple things, like enabling/disabling the horn chirp or flashing lights when using the key-less entry system to more racing specific features like enabling/disabling the seat belt audio/visual reminders and the daytime running lights. Here is a list of the other Dodge specific features the XRT Pro puts you in control of:
- Enable/Disable:
- Idle Up – the high-idle feature.
- Auto Door Lock – at certain speeds.
- Head Lamp Delay – after leaving the vehicle.
- Unlock Driver Door – when using the key-less entry.
- Accessory Delay – set the time delay your radio and other accessories will stay on after the key is turned off.
- Fogs with Highs – decide whether the fog lights stay on when the high beams are used.

Note that the use of the H&S XRT Tuner in higher performance modes raises the fuel rail pressure. This extra pressure may cause the fuel rail release valve in your truck to open, causing trouble codes P0087 and P1011. H&S recommends the use of either a Fuel Rail Shim Kit, to prevent the valve from opening, or a Fuel Rail Plug(FRP), which simply replaces the valve altogether. Both options allow ample pressure to the rail and injectors, without the worry of losing valuable rail pressure or bothersome trouble codes.

Also Note: If using DPF/EGR removed tuning, the XRT Pro is considered a Race Only product used solely for competition. Its use is limited to closed-course racing that is formally sanctioned by a recognized racing organization. Any other use, including recreational off-road use, could be in violation of local, state and federal laws.
Please Note: This tuner requires the use of a race exhaust system if tuning with the DPF removed.
Regarding Separate Tuning of the 6.7L Cummins Engine & Transmission: The XRT Pro can be used to tune the stock Dodge 68RFE Transmission separately without tuning the engine. This is especially convenient when using products other than an H&S tuner for engine tuning while making use of H&S Overdrive software — designed to overcome the stock 68RFE transmission’s tendency to shift early — especially as this condition tends to worsen with engine performance tuning. Transmission ONLY mode is accessible during initial XRT Pro installation.
