A vitally important component to a vehicles overall performance, the turbo charger affects power output, fuel economy & throttle response. The turbo charger that’s running in your rig is a factor in its efficiency — if it’s less than the best, then its efficiency is not optimal — and that affects your experience on the road, especially during long hauls. If the throttle isn’t responding effectively, you aren’t getting that extra power when it’s needed. What’s more is you’re wasting fuel — and that’s money out of your pocket. So choosing the best turbo charger for your truck is nothing short of crucial. Bully Dog Big Rig’s BFT-1 is proven on the road, both in performance and longevity. It typically costs less than an OEM replacement — AND there’s no hassle of a CORE charge… Take a stab at what the “BF” in BFT-1 stands for — Bully Dog isn’t toying with its Big Rig business here and the BFT-1 proves this.

Bully Dog was formed in 1998 in Aberdeen, Idaho by brothers Michael, Phillip, and Daryl Klassen. They were heavily influenced by their father Harold’s interest in improving vehicle performance. A few years prior to the company’s inception, Harold had experimented with increasing performance on his diesel farm tractor by injecting propane into the engine’s combustion chamber. In 1998, Bully Dog’s owners took Harlod’s concept and developed and patented a safe and effective propane injection system to enhance diesel engine performance. Believe it or not, these systems were first sold out of their own farm shop, but as demand increased, the owners moved the company to another location. It was then they officially organized Bully Dog. Bully Dog’s quest was now to be recognized as the leader in the diesel performance industry, which motivated they to keep on top of emerging and new diesel technology. With the introduction of electronic components and software to improve performance, they began to research new types of products like intake and exhaust systems to complement their electronic components. This research led to a complete performance package. In 2005, Bully Dog expanded its range of products to include performance products for gasoline powered vehicles — but they stay true to their first love: The Diesel Industry.
