After Banks’ engineers carefully studied the stock intercoolers for the 2008-2010 Ford F250/F350/F450 6.4L Powerstroke, they decided to upgrade everything for superior results. The Techni-Cooler’s core area is bigger giving it 14% more flow volume — increasing air density by over 5% — for more continuous power without starving the airflow to the radiator. While the stock intercooler uses plastic end tanks, the Techni-Cooler steps-up with two durable, all-aluminum end tanks, that will never melt or burst under high-boost conditions.

Banks’ Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) designed, rugged cast aluminum end tanks on the Techni-Cooler insure durability and slick air flow. The same can’t be said for welded-up sheet tanks.
