Developed in conjunction with the turbocharger and engine companies, Quick-Turbo is Banks’ answer for eliminating sluggishness “out of the hole” and producing strong acceleration. The Quick-Turbo produces massive torque right from idle, and achieves a higher peak faster while maintaining more boost through the powerband — and doesn’t over-boost.

The optional Banks’ exclusive BigHead wastegate actuator prevents “wastegate blow-open” by keeping the valve seated at higher pressures, increasing mid-range torque and top-end power. Banks corrects boost-level limits in late ’99.5-2003 models with a high-boost compressor wheel, built for higher boost levels without compromising turbo performance.

The Quick-Turbo turbine housing is the key element in eliminating sluggish throttle response commonly associated with diesel-engine performance. The Banks Quick-Turbo turbine housing (right) appears only slightly larger than the stock housing, but provides better exhaust flow.
